I lost the rudder at sea one day,
As mighty winds shredded sails,
No compass in hand,
Floating on a sea of memories,
The sea cradles me in her bosom,
The gentle rocking soothes my soul,
I rest my tired head on imaginary shoulders,
And whisper sweet nothings to the sea turtles,
The only company i keep,
Salt crusted brows frown at the sun,
Its going to be a long way home.
