Birdies are all ready to fly away

A weekends worth of work and these little birdies are all set to fly all the way to the United States to find a lovely new home!! Fly little birdies,fly!!

Nocturnal love!!

I've come to realise off late that i seem to have a soft corner for owls!!Just got back from a whirlwind trip to the  foothills of the himalayas,along the way i dropped into this quaint vintage store and was delighted with their vintage owl collection!!Unfortunately the store doesn't allow photography of their wares.I thought at some point i need to collate the owls i've designed till date.There are quite a few sketches and paintings i've done that call for some serious rummaging through stacks of art books.But here are the ones that made their way to product design :)

Babushka dolls

The babushka doll hand painted design on this kettle is inspired by the adorable  matryoshka doll  also known as Russian nesting doll ,it refers to a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other.
