I pick fights with my memories,
Interrogating them in the dingy recesses of my mind,
Razor sharp questions meant to elicit answers,
The spotlights useless,
The questions fall flat with a resounding thud,
Maybe in time the pieces of the puzzle with fit,
And the past would have made sense,
Or maybe a swim in the sea of the unknown is in store.
